High Performance Design planned for Lebanon Junior High School
The new Lebanon Junior High School will be designed as a high performance school under the “Northeast Collaborative for High Performance Schools Protocol”. Following these guidelines will greatly reduce operating costs and receive an additional 3% in state building aid. Banwell Architects designed the first school in the state to achieve this status at Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook, NH. The program has seven overall high performance categories including: Policy and Operations, Indoor Environmental Quality, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Water Efficiency, Materials and Site Selection and Layout.
