After ten years of planning, Banwell Architects and Dufresne Henry were hired to finalize site selection and design a new Visitors Center for Quechee Gorge. The new 3,200 square foot, two-story building was designed to recall the adjacent historic Woodstock Railroad buildings originally part of the Quechee Woolen Mills operations. Once inside the building however there is an entirely different experience, opening up to the forest and hiking trails to the Gorge.
New Construction: 3,200 square feet
Construction Cost: $746,000
Completion: 2005
General Contractor: Trumbull-Nelson Construction
