Mr. Laurin has 21 years of experience with architectural firms, and has been with Banwell Architects since 1982. He is President and Managing Principal of the firm. His experience includes planning and design of educational facilities, recreation buildings, office buildings, banks, and residences. His projects have received numerous awards for design excellence.

New building design of 15,000 square foot classroom facility. The building will house 10 new classrooms, a large lecture hall, multipurpose room, office areas, space for VT Interactive Television, as well as space for Vermont State College. Building construction is planned for summer of 2004, with a Dec. 2004 completion.
Saddleback Ski Resort (Rangeley, ME)
Renovation (9,000 square feet) and addition (27,000 square feet) to existing base lodge. Construction summer 2004. $4.5M

Mascoma Savings Bank Operations Center (White River Jct., VT) $6M
Design of new 60,000 square foot operations center including a full-service retail bank. Phase I construction includes 40,000 square feet on three floors plus full basement and parking for 100 cars and drive-thru service lanes. Construction completed 2003.

Science Center at Keene State College (Keene, NH) $17.5M
Additions and renovations to 1960s science building. Existing building is 66,000 square feet; new addition will be approximately 30,000 square feet and will house new labs, classrooms and support space. Design consultant is Mitchell/Giurgola of NYC.
Math Center at Keene State College (Keene, NH) $900,000
The project consists of several additions totaling 2,770 square feet of new space; and 4,152 square feet renovations of an existing residential-style building on one of the main streets of the KSC campus. The new classroom addition mimics the residential style of the existing building. The new entry connects the old to the new and has a more modern, commercial appearance.
Boyd Hall Science Center at Plymouth State University (Plymouth, NH) $13.8M
Additions and renovations to 1960s science building. Existing building was 54,000 square feet; new addition is approximately 26,000 square feet on three floors, housing new labs, classrooms and support space. Design consultant is Mitchell/Giurgola Architects of NYC.
Mason Library at Keene State College (Keene, NH) $8.5M
Two phase renovation and expansion of the existing facility, featuring a new entrance, new interior organization and spectacular daylighted Reading Room. Phase 2 completed 2001; phase 2 completed 2003.

Gilford Middle/High School (Gilford, NH) $18M
Program development and full design services of additions and renovations to existing open-concept Middle and High School. Existing middle-high school to be fully renovated and converted into 650-student high school. New 8,000 square foot addition for high school classrooms. New 85,000 square foot, 450-student middle school will be built as a connected addition to the existing school. Shared spaces include kitchen, service and loading, and media staff room.

New building design of approximately 15,000 square feet for high tech research and development company. Building components include office spaces, engineering, classrooms, lab, and machine shop. Received VT AIA Award for Excellence in Architecture.

30,000 square feet additions and 55,000 square feet renovations to existing school. New organization of interior spaces to create separate Middle School and High School.

Design of a 35,000 square foot Applied Technology Center to be integrated into the existing Milford High school complex.

Baker Hill Golf Clubhouse (Newbury, NH) $800,000
New 3,500 square foot country club building situated on an existing 1800s farm site. The new building is nestled into the site, revitalizing the existing barn into a pro shop. Building materials were chosen to be New England vernacular. Main floor has a kitchen for functions, a bar area and restrooms. The lower level is comprised of the mens and ladies locker rooms. Construction 2003.
Eastman Community Building (Grantham, NH) $1,100,000
New year-round 12,000 square foot recreation center accommodating the golf pro shop, lockers, cart rental, ski touring center, ski shop and rental storage, a grille room, a large function space, and full kitchen. Special emphasis on the views of activities on the first and tenth tees and the ninth and eighteenth greens required careful siting of the building and its decks which surround the building at the upper level. Daylighting by means of large ridge skylights is a delightful energy-conserving feature.
Richard C. Gallop Athletic Center, Holderness School (Plymouth, NH) $1.6M
Design of a 22,000 square foot athletic facility to house two squash courts, fitness room and gymnasium with basketball and tennis courts.

Design of an addition to existing 1970 middle school currently housing 435 students in grades 6 8. Expansion plans accommodate 800 students in grades 5 8 and include all new core spaces such as gym, consumer ed, technology ed, art, music, media center, and computer rooms, as well as general classrooms.
