Education Projects
Epsom Central School
Epsom, New Hampshire		 Renovations and additions to an existing K-8 facility. Existing capacity is 550 students and additions will increase capacity to 650. The major addition (18,500 square feet) includes a new kitchen, cafeteria, nurse area, toilet rooms, main mechanical room, storage space and classrooms. A small addition (500 square feet) off the existing gym will serve the gym storage needs. Renovations also include relocating and expanding the library, a new expanded computer lab, a new guidance area near the administration and creating new classrooms in areas that have the most windows. All utility systems will be upgraded and a new sprinkler system will be installed throughout the school. Bond vote March 2006.
Merrimack Valley School District (SAU 46)
Penacook, New Hampshire		 Evaluation, planning, and construction of additions and improvements to Loudon, New Hampshire, Elementary School, Merrimack Valley Middle School, and Merrimack Valley High School.
Westminster Central School
Westminster, Vermont		 Analysis of existing 1952 elementary school with plans for a new gymnasium or multi-purpose room, program renovations and updated building infrastructure. Bond Vote March 2004.
World Learning
School for International Training
Brattleboro, Vermont
 Various projects to complete 2001 Master Plan, including new academic buildings and a number of renovation and addition projects; to be implemented over the next ten years. Campus contains 20 primary buildings and various smaller outbuildings, including older buildings from the original estate circa 1900, a number of wood frame residential and academic structures from the 60’s and 70’s, and two new/renewed buildings from the 1990’s.

Plymouth, New Hampshire		 Renovations to President’s office.
Crossroads Academy
Lyme, New Hampshire		 Master planning for expansion and/or relocation of the existing campus to accommodate grades pre-K through 8 at the private day school. Services include clarification of current and future educational program goals; evaluation of existing campus facilities and complex zoning and legal requirements; inventory and analysis of the adjoining undeveloped 43-acre site, including preservation of sensitive natural features; conceptual design to establish site circulation, building locations, play fields, utilities; estimating project budget; establishing construction phasing aligned with financial resources.
Kennett Jr/Sr High School
Conway, New Hampshire		 Site selection, program development, schematic design, and support services for bond vote. The anticipated scope is 115,000 square feet new construction and 130,000 square feet renovation of an existing 7 – 12 jr/sr high school and area vocational center.

Cardigan Mountain School
Canaan, New Hampshire		 Designed to provide 85' x 200' hockey rink, combined spectator viewing and elevated indoor jogging track, team and locker rooms, fitness center, canteen, offices for coaches and officials, equipment storage/skate sharpening and a public lobby with reception room. Design accommodates indoor sports and team practices when outdoor fields/courts are unusable (tennis, volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, lacrosse and street hockey, badminton and archery). Planned for phased future additions to include tournament wrestling arena, 3 singles squash courts and a 4-lane recreational swimming pool.
Fall Mountain Regional School District
Charlestown, Walpole, Alstead, Acworth, Langdon,
New Hampshire		 Master planning for District school facilities including nine elementary and one high school. Work involved inventory and analysis of existing buildings including program accommodation, fire safety, accessibility, envelope integrity, mechanical and electrical systems. Implementation projects included system upgrades and additional space.
Dresden Schools
Hanover, New Hampshire		 The Dresden Schools serve the communities of Hanover, NH and Norwich, VT with Middle School and High School facilities in Hanover. Options were developed which compared middle school and high school programs, sites, and costs to facilitate the selection of a single option. Successful bond vote May 2003 to fund new Middle School on new site, and complete renovation and additions to existing Hanover High School.

Commercial Projects
Irwin Marine
Laconia, New Hampshire		 Renovation and expansion of existing marine sales and service building located in downtown Laconia Lake Winnipesaukee. Minor site improvements and complete building system upgrades. The project will include a new main entry with new larger front windows to improve the storefront for retail service. Interior program spaces will be reorganized for a more continuous flow for building activities. A mezzanine will be added to increase the visibility of boats from the main street. A complete makeover of the interior will bring light and new finishes throughout for a more retail atmosphere.

Ascension Lutheran Church
South Burlington, Vermont		 Renovation and sanctuary addition, schematic design phase.
Public Projects
Alliance for the Visual Arts (AVA) Gallery & Art Center
Lebanon, New Hampshire		 Addition and renovations to 36,000 square foot historic mill building in downtown Lebanon. Program consists of improved circulation, reception and gallery spaces, offices, teaching studios, sculpture studio, darkroom facilities, 15 rental studios, a café with outdoor seating, library, a mini theater, a workshop, and general support spaces. The project will be phased and will include renovations to the entire building and the addition of a new main entry and stair and a new stair/elevator tower. The exterior of the building will be updated, and original historic details will be uncovered and recreated as budget allows. All building utilities will be updated including full mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler. Phase: Construction Documents. Construction September 2006 start.

The project will be submitted for LEED™ certification and will be designed to include many high-performance building design measures. Large-group meetings with the design team, owner, and construction manager established green design goals.
Northern Forest Heritage Park Visitors Center
Berlin, New Hampshire		 Restoration of the 1919 Brown Co. Research Building and new Visitors’ Center facility for construction Summer 2004. Construction cost $2.4M.
Gilford Police Department
Gilford, New Hampshire		 Planning study for location of new 15,000 square foot police facility. Bond vote 2004. Options include free-standing outbuilding at various locations, attached addition, and renovation and expansion of existing facility.
