Renovations and additions to an existing K-8 facility. Existing capacity is 550 students and additions will increase capacity to 650. The major addition (18,500 square feet) includes a new kitchen, cafeteria, nurse area, toilet rooms, main mechanical room, storage space and classrooms. A small addition (500 square feet) off the existing gym will serve the gym storage needs. Renovations also include relocating and expanding the library, a new expanded computer lab, a new guidance area near the administration and creating new classrooms in areas that have the most windows. All utility systems will be upgraded and a new sprinkler system will be installed throughout the school. Bond vote March 2006. |

Planned for phased future additions to include tournament wrestling arena, 3 singles squash courts and a 4-lane recreational swimming pool. |

Options were developed which compared middle school and high school programs, sites, and costs to facilitate the selection of a single option. Successful bond vote May 2003 to fund new Middle School on new site, and complete renovation and additions to existing Hanover High School. |

Renovation and expansion of existing marine sales and service building located in downtown Laconia Lake Winnipesaukee. Minor site improvements and complete building system upgrades. The project will include a new main entry with new larger front windows to improve the storefront for retail service. Interior program spaces will be reorganized for a more continuous flow for building activities. A mezzanine will be added to increase the visibility of boats from the main street. A complete makeover of the interior will bring light and new finishes throughout for a more retail atmosphere. |

Alliance for the Visual Arts (AVA) Gallery & Art Center

Addition and renovations to 36,000 square foot historic mill building in downtown Lebanon. Program consists of improved circulation, reception and gallery spaces, offices, teaching studios, sculpture studio, darkroom facilities, 15 rental studios, a café with outdoor seating, library, a mini theater, a workshop, and general support spaces. The project will be phased and will include renovations to the entire building and the addition of a new main entry and stair and a new stair/elevator tower. The exterior of the building will be updated, and original historic details will be uncovered and recreated as budget allows. All building utilities will be updated including full mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler. Phase: Construction Documents. Construction September 2006 start.
The project will be submitted for LEED certification and will be designed to include many high-performance building design measures. Large-group meetings with the design team, owner, and construction manager established green design goals.
